“Bighorn Rams in
  San Juan Mountains”

I love to drive slowly down remote country roads. Just above walking speed is just about right. I suppose I get this from my Dad. He was famous for driving real slow in his pick-up truck (and constantly stalling the engine) over a ranch road looking at deer, javalinas, coyotes, birds, cattle, grass, tracks in the road, tracks going under the fence, and the rattlesnakes. You name it.

Like him, I want to be going slow enough to be able to instantly stop when I come around a bend and there is something really interesting, such as a bunch of Big Horns Rams, as in this painting. These rams have come down off the mountain to water at the creek on the other side of the road and are now going back up the mountain.

If we will be still and quiet, they probably won’t run.
